About Us

Alexander Family

Along with outstanding staff members Kelli and Megan (who refuse to be photographed for the website), and our daughter Riley (who is in the family picture above on the far right) Randy and Leigh have built a reputation as effective housing program administrators with customer-centered services being the focus and foundation of their business.

When we (Randy and Leigh) are not inspecting houses, providing training, administering housing programs or farming, we enjoy spending time with our friends, 3 children and their spouses/partners, our grandsons and 3 dogs.  We also WANT to spend more time riding motorcycles and just relaxing, things that we haven’t been able to do much in the last few years.

Randy and I celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary in 2022.  I was greeted with 10 baby chicks as my gift (I certainly didn’t know CHICKENS were on the list for the 33rd anniversary!) Our 3+ decades together have given us not only 3 wonderful children, but also 4 grandsons, and we are so thankful for the healthy and happy additions to our family.  We ended up purchasing more chickens and with the price of eggs, we are so glad be did.  We have farm fresh eggs for our children’s families’ and they have made a huge difference for Riley and her partner because they could not eat store bought eggs.  I grew up in Fort Worth and never in my wildest dreams imagined we would raise our kids on a farm and I would have chickens and be thrilled about it!  Another unexpected twist is I was a white color worker for 16 years.  Now I drive all our farm equipment except our semi and combine.  We hobby farm and it takes all of us because we do this on top of our full-time business with CDS.

Other major changes in our lives include 1 of our 3 children moved back to Plainview where he and his family are minutes away from us – and this includes those 4 adorable boys!  Our middle child moved back from Colorado and lives outside of Omaha with her partner (he is not pictured above, but you can find him on our PICTURES page) and our youngest and her husband live in Omaha.  All of our children and their families are thriving so we thank God that we are among the fortunate.

One additional big change is that Randy’s Mom passed away at the end of 2022.  She had moved back to Plainview after more than 65 years, the last 56 of which were spent in Colorado (we lost Randy’s Dad on New Year’s Day of 2020).  She resided at the Plainview Manor and was reunited with at least one Plainview classmate.  She was able to see all her family in Plainview, including a sibling, a few in-laws, nieces and nephews, and Randy’s and my family, which includes all our kids and grandkids.  When she arrived back in Plainview she told us she felt like she was home.  The loss of Randy’s Mom had a big impact on everyone as she was the last grandparent our children had.

We don’t know what the rest of 2023 will bring.  We pray for no more violence and we hold out hope that our great Country will heal.

We thank all of you who have contacted us for services and hope that you will pass our contact information along if you were satisfied.  If you were NOT satisfied, please let us know so we can resolve any concerns. We wish all of you the best in health and happiness.

Randy and Leigh During a Motorcycle Outing

Randy brings 25+ years of experience in the construction field to his role as a home and environmental inspector.  After years in the behavioral health field, Leigh joined forces with Randy in 2000 and began her inspection career with environmental testing.  Now both Randy and Leigh are certified in the home inspection field, and hold all the necessary certifications to perform asbestos, radon, lead and mold inspections.  Leigh is also certified to work with schools as an asbestos management planner and serves as the principal instructor for the EPA Lead Renovator Certification courses provided by CDS.
